Vettaikaran censored, Release on Dec 18
A source in the Censor Board in Chennai has confirmed that Ilayathalapathy’s eagerly awaited Vettaikaran has been cleared with an ‘UA’ certificate. Sun Pictures has confirmed his Vettaikaran on December 18.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay Sura starts rolling
Vijay starts his 50th film 'Sura' in Kerala. The movie is directed by S P Raajkumar and produced by Sangili Murugan.
Tamannah plays the ladylove of Vijay in the movie which has Vadivelu in it. Manisharma has been roped in to score the music. The movie features Vijay playing the role of a fisherman, according to reliable sources.

Sura is Vijay's 50th film
Sura is Vijay's 50th film will be launched on September 18th. Vijay will be seen as a fisherman!. Sura directed by Rajakumar is a story of fishermen community and their life style.

Vijay say no to politics
Ilayathalapathy Vijay stating on Sunday that he did not intend to join politics in the near future.
Vijay at the meet, said that he has no intention to join politics immediately and would like to concentrate on his film assignments. It was expected that he would formally join the party during Gandhi’s three-day Tamil Nadu tour last week. But Vijay clarified that his meeting with Rahul Gandhi was only a courtesy visit. The actor has converted his fan club into a people’s movement: Vijay Makkal Iyakkam.

Vettaikaran audio lauch in September
Vijay's 49th Film Vettaikaran audio lauch in September. Movie produced by AVM Balasubramaniyam and directed by Babu Sivam. Vettaikaran music composed by Vijay Antony will be launched in a big way in the first week of September. Vettaikaran confirmed as Diwali release on October 17.
